1. Do one thing at a time.
  2. Do it slowly and with awareness.
  3. Do it completely.
  4. Do less
  5. Put space between your actions.
  6. Create rituals.
  7. Devote time to just being with me.
  8. Make grooming and walking a meditation
  9. Think about what is necessary.
  10. Keep things simple

When you slow down and stay in the moment – consciously aware of how you are feeling, how your horse is feeling and what is going on around you – you are more calm and focused.  Your horse is positively affected by your mental and physical states as well as your energy.

Practice these zen tips each and every time you are with your horse and you will both enjoy the time you spend together.
