You want something more or you feel something is missing from your life. You want to change but you just don’t know how or what to do.
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got. If you don't like what you're getting, you have to change. Because nothing changes until you do.
How you live your life is a result of patterns and habits. At some stage in your life you realize you aren't where you want to be. You want to change those habits and it's not easy.
Self-awareness is the ability to see how your emotions and perceptions influence your thoughts and behaviour. It’s important because how you think, feel and behave affects your relationship with the world around you.
That’s why you can’t make real change in your life until you have self-awareness. Awareness of the patterns and habits that are holding you back.
You need to stop and pay attention to what you think and feel. And why you think and feel that way. In order to really understand why you do what you do.
Saturday, September 16th - 1 pm to 4 pm
TJ Farms, Tottenham, ON
When you arrive at TJ Farms, you’ll enter a secluded, peaceful space leaving your daily distractions and responsibilities behind. You’ll be surrounded by mature pine forest and enjoy the beautiful sounds of song birds.
The workshop is outdoors with discussions (before and after working with the horses) taking place under the shade trees with a view of the horses grazing in the paddock.
There’s no need to rush away when the workshop concludes. You’re invited to stay and enjoy further discussion over wine and cheese in this peaceful setting.
You’ll see yourself through the perspective of the horse as you:
Horses are remarkably sensitive to their environment and the emotional states of those around them – including people. Engaging with a horse requires you to be in the moment – paying attention to your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
There is no pretending with a horse. They see right through you.
Interacting with horses gives you the opportunity to be in the present moment and reflect on your inner self – bringing it more fully into awareness.
You will have the opportunity to interact with a horse you feel drawn to (or who feels drawn to you). This hands on time with the horse can lead you to have personal insights and new levels of self-awareness. All work with the horses will be done from the ground (no riding).
If you’re not comfortable engaging directly with a horse, you’ll still learn from the group discussions as well as watching the horses interact with each other and with other participants.
This workshop is for you if you:
The workshop is ideal if you have a love for or are intrigued by horses – even if you’ve never had the opportunity to meet a horse before.
And if you have experience with horses, you will connect with horses (and yourself) in a new way that will be equally eye opening.
